What kind of boilers does the EPOD work with?
The EPOD works with all types of boilers including conventional, combination and system boilers.
Does the EPOD work with all heating systems?
Yes, the EPOD works with any heating systems that use a pump. This includes gravity fed systems, sealed systems, combi boilers and solar heating systems.
Does the EPOD work with a corrosion inhibitor?
Yes, a corrosion inhibitor will not affect the way the EPOD eliminates dissolved air.
Does the EPOD require electricity?
No, the EPOD does not require electricity directly, as it works with water passing through it pumped by your present central heating pump. There are also no moving parts, so the EPOD is completely maintenance free.
After the installation of the EPOD , will I still need a corrosion inhibitor?
A corrosion inhibitor will not be necessary with the EPOD installed as there is no dissolved air in the water. It is the dissolved air that creates rust. However if you have a new boiler, then the boiler warranty may require that an inhibitor is added to the water.

Can the EPOD help reduce the noise in my system?
Yes. Aside from fuel saving and CO2 reduction, this is one of the main benefits of fitting an EPOD . Without air in the system, it will run virtually silently.
Does the EPOD work with combination or system boilers?
Yes, the EPOD needs to be installed on the return pipe, as near to the boiler as possible.
Can the EPOD be installed with an oil fired boiler?
Yes. An oil boiler will give the greatest benefit for having an EPOD installed. Due to the design of an oil boiler it cannot cycle as efficiently as gas or a LPG boiler, so the efficiency gain is at a higher than average percentage after the installation of an EPOD in an oil fired system.
Will I need to bleed the radiators after the EPOD is installed?
No. Apart from the initial re-commissioning process, there should be no need to bleed the radiators as there is no air in the system.
Can the EPOD be connected to a solar heating system?
Yes generally it can, but two EPOD s will be needed. The first in the normal circuit, and the second in the solar thermal system, if it can be installed where the pump will draw the fluid through the EPOD . Additionally, as the EPOD will not be installed in the highest part of the system, one needs to ensure that there is an air vent on the roof, that will release trapped air from the top of the system.
Will the EPOD help increase the efficiency of a back boiler?
Yes, the EPOD will increase the efficiency of all types of boilers.
How long does it take to install EPOD ?
We allow half a day to drain down the system, cut the pipe and plumb in the EPOD , fill the system again, check for leaks, and then re-commission the system, and finally bleed any radiators that need bleeding of remaining trapped air.
What guarantee do you offer?
We offer an unconditional no-quibble guarantee. If the EPOD has been properly installed, and does not do what we say it will do, we will remove it and give you a full refund. This only applies to EPOD s that we have either supplied, or supplied and installed.
